June 15, 2022 Koppers Campaign Newsletter
Kristen Koppers for Regional Superintendent of Schools
We just passed the two-week mark until the primary election. If you have not voted early, please make sure that you vote. As mentioned in my earlier newsletter, this is Spy Kidz Week. It’s a fun filled (exhausting) weeklong Bible camp where campers are free to learn about God, the Bible, and be kids. There is no discussion of becoming an animal, they do not have to worry about losing their due process to irrelevant and unnecessary mandates, or even be subjected to unsafe conditions.
For the last seven years, I volunteered for this program because I love being part of the church and interacting with the kids.
Each day I post pics of me at Spy Kidz on my political Facebook page to share how much this experience and opportunity means to me. But, as usual, the trolls would like to bring it back to negativity because they feel the pressure of this election. Below is the post I made yesterday morning as I was out in the field ready to supervise and take pictures of the campers running the relay race. It was already 90+ degrees without the heat index. Many of us take time away in the summer (some take vacation from work) to volunteer for these campers to have a great week.
But people like “Colin” cannot comment not only in a respectable way but make irrelevant comments (see below). Then again “Colin,” like the others, do not have the decency or guts to create a true profile. What’s interesting about comments like this one and others is that no one really cares (except for the others who would like to see me not win). It merely shows the “intelligence” of the woke community.
He, just like the others, are another reason we cannot let the incumbents win this June and November.
Yesterday, I was also invited to attend the Kendall County Tribute to Heroes to recognize seven deserving heroes by the Three Fires Council and the Boy Scouts of America. This year’s honorees are members of the Yorkville Police Department. It was an awesome evening to learn more about the Three Fires Council, the Boy Scouts of America, and the honorees.
After the program, I was asked what my platform was for running for the Regional Superintendent of Schools. There are three major focuses I have to start in July 2023:
If a mandate is required, school districts MUST follow the due process of each child individually. This means that the school districts who feel a student is deemed a “health risk” must notify the local board of health to request a court order, signed by the judge, to quarantine a child or staff member. Without this, no one can be involuntarily sent home.
Focus on removing CRT and diversity training (as a requirement) from the schools as a way to discriminate children and staff members.
Fight to keep SB818 out of the school districts. As we all know, children K-8 should not be learning about the National Sex Standards. By doing this, the schools are encouraging this type of behavior. Instead, we must be encouraging them from violence, becoming better pillars within society, and teaching them to think critically.
However, I cannot do it without YOU! Make sure you vote before or on June 28 so that I can make the changes that are needed to keep public school public.
