April 6, 2022 Koppers Campaign Newsletter
Kristen Koppers for Regional Superintendent for Schools
Tomorrow I will be speaking at the Kendall County Republicans Meeting at Kennedy Pointe Restaurant and Pub in Bristol. I am excited to be able to share my thoughts and concerns in education. Since I announced my candidacy in January, numerous parents contacted me regarding their concerns about safety in the schools. I was not only stunned by what they told me, but angered that educators would allow these things to happen. These parents need someone who will truly support them and be their advocate.
I am not only an educator, but, most importantly, I am a mother. My son’s health and welfare is very important to me as it is to any parent. The fact that his health is challenged by school districts is an attack on all of us. I am not only fighting for my son but the education of all the children.
Its crunch time with only 82 days left until the June 28 primary where I am dedicated to be the next Regional Superintendent of Schools for Grundy / Kendall County. While I will fulfill the responsibilities of the position, my focus will make sure that the laws are being upheld in the schools. Additionally, safety has been a big concern in several of the schools throughout the two counties. The students should feel safe attending school. I urge you to attend events, meet and greets, or email your local candidates to learn more about them.
I appreciate the continued support that you have given me since I began this journey. This is what I believe in. I hope you believe in me too to make the changes that I am able to during my term. I cannot do it without you.
It’s time to Restore Education in Illinois.
